London 2012: A Throwback

Melting Rainbows

Taisuke Koyama is a Japanese photographer with sights of creating natural things into delicious artworks. He captured organic phenomenons. Started as a photographer in 2003, he has released some series of his artworks and the famous one was "Entopix" (2006). His latest project was "Sandwich Textures" on August 2011. But well, everyone's have their own favourites, so here's my favourite series: "Melting Rainbows." And please noted that he's still young (and pretty much a good looking japanese-kind-of guy).

Illuminance

I love this woman's works. Though Illuminance took 15 years to be done, I'd certainly wait for great works like this. She collaborated art and photography brilliantly. Like Yumi Goto (TIME) said in Lightbox, she creates an imaginary space. And, ugh, I have nothing much to say about her, but her eyes must be really amazing. One last thing, Rinko Kawauchi, you need to teach me how to take pictures this amazing. I'm longing to see her next project on photography of natural disaster.

Wedding Crashers

My dad got a wedding invitation in this place named Maja House. Supposedly it's a dinning place, I just didn't know that it could be used for big events. The place was quite small for a wedding to be held. I was queuing for ice cream and I couldn't even move my hands to grab the cup (it is a fortune to have long arms tho). People were standing around near the buffet, and the place was a total full house. One sure thing that I have to admit, I enjoyed the view and I happened to bring my yashica.

The foods looked delicious, they had ribs and I was like, "omygod, did I bring my wet tissues and hand sanitizer with me?" (you can only enjoy ribs by eating it with bare hands, more tasty :9) But it's like a food race in there, I was about to grab a glass of punch and people around thought I was hijacking their queues! Such a weird and nosy people. Okay, since the food wasn't so much to be eaten, we went to Sushi Tei, our favourite place to eat sushi. And so.....I ate as much as I could.

Safari

Safari trip with film cameras? You need a speed of light to change your film whenever it reaches the end of the spool and there's a great moment in front of you. And another thing about going on a safari trip: I want to steal those big cats as pets.

i didn't know that my holga would do this thing. i even didn't realize quickly that one of them was in tilt-shift! if only you could see how my holga looks like. it's been 2 years with me but it looks like it's been ages. i love him anyway, he's my second favourite camera after my yashica.
