Diary of the Future: Son (Part 1)

London
Summer 2020

June 16
Today was such a hot Saturday. Made pink lemonades yesterday in purpose of drinking it till Sunday, but last night my son drank the whole bottle down like a bottomless beer-freak sailor. He likes my lemonades so much that he can stand chewing the sliced lemons. I don't quite understand, though. My husband said Io, my son, just likes making his eyes narrowed down so he eats everything that makes his forehead creases like complex origami. He's turning three next September but he can read fluently already. His name is Odrion and since I'm really into Jupiter's moons, I call him Io, one of the biggest moons. Everything about him is so cute that I just want to take countless pictures of him.

July 8
I teach him to speak Japanese and French. He understands Indonesian only when we visit his grandparents - my parents. He speaks English everyday but fluently says some words in Japanese and French. Two weeks ago he greeted our neighbour with 'sayonara' when supposedly he should say 'ohayou'. Luckily the neighbour is German, so they just think Io was a cute toddler speaking Japanese. I was very surprised when Io said 'oyasumi' after I put on his pajamas. My son is too cute!

July 16
He likes his giraffe plush so much. He named it Kirin, which is a Japanese word for giraffes. Kirin means everything to him that he brings it everywhere with him. I gave him a white holga CFN for his 2nd birthday and mostly when I develop the films it was pictures of Kirin. They both look cute together so I will never mind. The reason why I gave him a camera is because he said that he doesn't like to pose, he likes to tell people (or mostly birds) to pose. His two big brown eyes are like a pair of great lenses.

July 23
Yesterday he had nightmares about candy cane monsters. Io becomes angry whenever he sees candy canes. I went to Harrods to buy my mum a jar of whatever cookie names she likes there (she had the list so I just have to show the woman in the counter). After school I took Io with me and candy canes were everywhere. He was in rage and it really was scary. So I went out and took him to play chasing birds at Hyde Park and ate ice cream at the dock near Serpentine.

July 25
He likes to paint with me at times. I usually have to bake him Darth Vader-shaped cookies before he's joining me. It all started when he was a baby and I bought Star Wars cookie cutter. He liked Darth Vader better, it even made him stop crying.
He said he wants to be a football player this afternoon after we strangely bumped into Lampard and Carragher down in Kensington. Io said they were 'middle-aged poppa'. I just laughed so hard.

August 1
He hates birthday parties. He thinks it's too loud and no fun.
And his father thinks Io needs a new sippy cup.
Also, later today, Io drank my last stock of Ribena in the fridge. Bad kiddo.

August 25
Today I promise to take Io to the zoo. Never in my life I went to London Zoo at weekends, so it must be a bit crowded. So, I packed his stuffs into his blue kanken. Kirin check, holga check, red sippy cup check, Where's Wally mini book check, drawing tools check. He's a whiny toddler when it comes to go out in public. He rarely cries out loud, though. Pigeons attract him the most when we are walking down the streets. One time we had lunch in Hyde Park waiting for my husband to pick us up, and Io started to give breadcrumbs to birds. The birds were unstoppable they even chased us. And know what Io said? He said 'can we go home and bring more breadcrumbs? I'm out of breadcrumbs here.' I said no and he became whiny all the way home asking not to eat dinner.

Godsent

I know I should be doing the breakwater/wave/whatever-it-is homework by now, the books are creepily looking at me right now. But this image of Michael oh-yes Fassbender inside an article of his commercial in his youth has lighten up my imagination of beautiful-faced guys other than my all-time favourite African-American. Been a fan I have. Other than him, James Franco never fails either (like, never ever ever --crap Taylor Swift). Anton Yelchin in his beards sounds great too. And um, let me think. Those dudes in Immortals. Yes. Hunky Henry Cavill. Godly-faced Luke Evans. Kellan Emmett Lutz. Stephen XIII Dorff. Mickey sugardaddy Rourke........--out of breath, sorry. I don't know how these people casted (the casting crews must have the same head as mine), how come they get the best faces (which I like)? Other than how cruel Rourke was, everything is beautiful (even Isabel Lucas too, except for Freida Pinto, I dislike her).

Back to Fassbender my current Franco (should it be started with an F?). His face is mean and cruel and that's how I like him. His image of wearing shawl wrapped around his neck makes me want to date Swedish men (he's German, I know, just happened to see Alex Skarsgard's photo, sorry.) I ever dreamed of him wearing a burgundy suit and he was in a hot-air balloon. Such a valuable memory. He's my next unhealthy obsession, I guess. After seeing his barenaked commercial drinking milk, your life would never be the same.

Been writing (or drawing is more like it) my wishlist in my pink journal. It's just too much. Maybe I'll set a blogpost out of it. I just don't know whether I should save my money for France Trip next year or splurging things that makes me can't sleep. Even so I still have to enroll for Cambridge Summer School as well. I need cash rain hard on me but my good friend said that if money is just too much then it would be less valuable than it was. It is indeed true but still, I NEED MONEY. Money can buy me happiness as splurging is a fancy hobby.

I think I have to go back doing the homework before I lick the screen (would never do that, just a metaphor). And oh hey, Happy Thanksgiving, people! Christmas is around the corner and I'm immensely excited!

yum.

Recap

Okay. Few things I need to write and I'm not really good being humble telling people nice things without expressions (like, typing here or texting, mostly I have weird facial expressions telling stories to people). I think I'll just numbered the events.

1. In June I was in London and the weather wasn't that nice. Didn't bring any wellies and even I have to buy an umbrella, didn't have it in my bag either. Schwag.
2. My feet got bruised after REALLY long walk inside Hyde Park. The constuctions for Olympics made me had to find another way round and because it's summer, no bicycles left at the main gate (damn you, tourists!)
3. I'm sorry, for I have sinned in London. I lied that I was sixteen and everyone's buying.
4. There's this bakery and pastry shop named Igor's at Surabaya and the pavlova is REALLY REALLY REALLY NICE. Their cakes are amazing too.
5. I lost weight.
6. I bought a cub plush and I named him Sinji (he's whiny, believe me).
7. Mom bought me this Aldo Feener backpack and I'm bloody happy. She's really nice to remember how I love Aldo so much.
8. I dyed my hair reddish-purplish-brown. It is named Mahogany Red Brown but I don't think it's any closer to that. Though I wanted a brighter colour, this one looks just fine on me.
9. This sandals that I bought at some themed store has really gotten into me. It's perfect.
10. My instax films are almost 100 though I believe I gave my mom and my sister one or two, or my boyfriend as well.
11. Been listening hard to Sun Glitters, Purity Ring, The Black Keys, Roosevelt, and Comeme. Not sure if it's just me or electronics get the best on every moods exiisted. (yep you're seeing double i, it's not typo it's an expression.)
12. My current photography project is Feet Project and on progress now. The next one is Supermarket themed. Got this idea when I wanted to buy bananas and my boyfriend took candid of me choosing lemons so I hand him my instax and well, it turned out good. For more of my photography, click here.
13. I just turned 21 last Saturday. Old, am I?
14. I just don't give shits on college anymore. The more I give the more I get shits back. Like, I was eagerly doing my project and the circumstances told me not to, and when I did not, the grades are much awful than a downfall.
15. I'm in love with my boyfriend's camera that I constantly want to use it and switch one with mine.
16. I want scanner so bad.
17. Grape juice so far is my favourite drink ever (yeah, Ribena). Come second is strawberry-flavoured soda, third is lychee-based drinks, fourth is mojito, and fifth is any Snapples I can find in convenience stores.
18. I bought this Rookie Yearbook One and it feels so exciting.
19. There's this chicken food I gorged. It is named Holy S**t Chicken (again, I don't cover things, it's just written that way on the menu). Fabrik Eatery and Bar is pretty much like an IHOP upgraded. I love that they open for breakfast menu and serving something like baked beans and scrambled eggs just the way I like.
20. The last, I forgot to mention that I finally (*throws confetti*) upgraded my laptop. I'm not a fan of technology, so when something goes wrong, I just hope someone would realize something's going on between me and my gadgets. This answered to why I haven't updated my blog. It is weird to blog on someone's laptop, feels like betraying you love interest.
