just some random black and white photographs I like, recently.

winterlist

I know it's not even winter here, but I feel like the weather has been winter the day rain poured really hard in here. Almost all the time I want to have a cute pink raincoat, cause umbrellas just don't work, I bring a lot of stuffs on both hands and just don't get enough grip to hold an umbrella. But raincoat is such a burden to bring in bags. If I don't fold it rightly, I'll end up stuffing it into my bag and make my bag looks bubbly.

Actually, what I really want realistically is not even on the list. All I want for this holiday are......great foods! I've been listing some foods to eat, like steaks (lamb, cows, anything), a mount of sushi, a large plate of sashimi (salmon and yellow-tail), salmon kamameshi, grilled duck, a decent three stacks of burger and you don't want to hear the rest of the list.

There are few things in mind recently. Few can be considered as All I Want For Christmas. And here goes the list (clockwise from top left):

1. Haruki Murakami IQ84. I know this one is easy to be bought. But I just don't have time to buy this book. One time I have the chance seeing this book, I didn't bring any money (you don't think of anything when you woke up from naps and your mom asked you to eat out at Burger King, don't think, just go.)
2. Red Velvet cropped top. This one looks comfy, and so....80s, which I very much like.
3. Limited Edition Byron Lars Barbie. 50th Anniversary Edition Barbie? I can stand it if I don't have one. Vera Wang  Barbie? Again, I can stand it if I don't have one. This one? I just can't stand this one. The packaging is just lovely and all of the editions are black barbies. 
4. Immortals casts. I know it might sounds weird that I dislike Twilight Saga but I love Kellan Lutz, I'm Team Emmett. But not to be mistaken, I like him since his appearance in 90210. Other than Kellan Lutz appearance as Poseidon, there were Luke Evans as Zeus (yeay, Aramis of The Three Musketeers!) and Henry Cavill as Theseus. The whole film other than closing my eyes when Hyperion do something cruel, I wowed at those three guys. What a hunk. Anyway, I like the film.
5. Make Up Forever HD Foundation. Yeah, I don't go to malls often these few months, so hopefully I have this one by the end of the holiday.
6. Ceilings. I'm still gorging on ceilings and pillars, just so you know. More gorging after I watch Immortals.
7. Lomography La Sardina Domino. I'm not really into lomography cameras, but this one looks collectible. Tin cameras? What's not to like?
8. Balenciaga Fall/Winter 2010 peach sweater. Okay this is sooo last year but I'm still longing to have this one.

flowers

I'm always in love with flower trees or flower bushes, specifically when they're in pink or fuchsia, or around that colours. I find it really beautiful. Ever since the days I'm seeing it on Tumblr, I promise myself that I will take pictures of those with my cameras. But clearly it is not an easy thing to do. Once I found this really gorgeous azaleas, in two colours -pink and purple, in gradation- and the bush was that big. I was like "oh great I can take pictures of them with me in it." Turned out that it was near a highway road. I couldn't even stand in front of it, and if I were about to take pictures, I could get cars hit me. The second failed encounters was when I found this beautiful bougenville on the backyard of one of the Sheraton resorts. I did successfully took picture of them with me in it......with my fuji instax. I forgot to bring my SLR camera. And still, that counted as failed encounters.

Lucky for me, I have this two beautiful bougenville trees at the front gate of my campus. They only bloom on Augusts, when freshmen enter their first years. It is said that it was celebrating new lads of campus. And so, I put on some spirit to take pictures of them. At first I keep failing. My sister is a freshman, she needed to be in college before the year was started. I always took this chance to take great pictures of the two bougenvilles. Unlucky for me, either I forgot to bring my camera, or I just didn't have a great chance to take the pictures. So I turned myself into desperation. It was turning into September. But one day, I had this ultimate chance to take the pictures. It was Saturday, the campus was quite dead (at the front gate), and I brought my yashica! And so, I took a few pictures and I'm pretty glad with the result.

Sea Encounters

By the end of last November, I went to an island for some college trip. To be honest, I don't like beaches or anything near the ocean. Ironically, I have to stand it for couple of years ahead. I have a major in oceanography, and it means I need to be that close to oceans. I enjoy the view, really. But I just don't feel it. Mostly I just sleep in the boat, and it was Kasabian on my iPod. 3 hours journey just don't get any better. I don't have a seasick, I can't stand doing nothing. Imagine this, you're going on a trip to some beautiful island and it takes like, 4 hours to get there. If you're too much of an excitement, your 4 hours of journey meant nothing, for you it feels like you're just sit there for half an hour. For me? Nah, you wish. I can't stand it. It feels like standing in an extremely long queues where I'm at the end of the lines. Seriously, I dislike oceans, seas, whatever. But I have to like it. Or maybe I just don't take it too personally. At least I develop great pictures.

Serge♥

I can never tell how much I love Sergio Pizzorno aka Serge. For some reason I like Italian names, specially as guys' last names. Italian last names are sexy. I feel like, it sounds really good in my eardrums (exaggeration alert). There are three main reasons why you just can never resist Serge. He's mixed Italian-British, then he's a talented musician, and you get the result of a multicultural son: beautiful eyes, strong cheekbones and facial hairs! But I didn't become a huge fan of Kasabian because of Serge's physical appearance, I was attracted to Tom (back when he had A LOT of facial hairs). Then I realize that Serge made some of the songs. So I become a fan of him. He's just too handsome to be a boyband member with his pointy nose. I put Serge's photo on the sidebar, hoping I could see him live one day. One day in a Kasabian concert.

Recently I just don't like his haicut. It makes him looks weird, but still sexy. The second picture is a scene from "Days Are Forgotten" (just check it on YouTube, the concept of the video was some of Serge's idea. He really is smart, I can see, but he needs to cut his  hair. It looks like he's been in somewhere he didn't belong so much. It looks the judges like in the 18th century. Well, at least with his weird hair, he got a really nice wig which didn't get much bees to fight sith us. 

black barbie

One sure thing I can never resist in my whimsical world of choices on random interests is: Barbie! Just as normal as every girl, I love collecting Barbies. Collecting, not playing with it. Most of my Barbies are still put neatly in their boxes, even ones that I opened to play with (like Bake-A-Cake Barbie, I just don't want the sprinkles to get expired) I still keep their wires that attached them to the cartons inside. To my interest, black Barbies are really really really pretty. Then I found the 09 Vogue Italy, there was once an issue on back Barbie! I can never calm myself on this.
